Four women put together this small company in 1995 after one lost a severely
disabled baby at 8 months. Tiny Kelsey’s brief time here, in addition to
leaving Mom Lisa heartbroken, brought friendship with a pediatric occupational
therapist, Jo, working at Topeka's ARC. Together they recognized a need for a
baby book unlike regular ones that don’t seem to adequately record moments that
are just as special yet different and varied. Jo's mom, Ginny, an insightful
sensitive artist, has done all the books’ illustrations. I'm Linda and they
call me "the editor". I'd had a stroke leaving me partially paralyzed prior
to meeting these wonderful women. For our book for the school ages Jo’s
daughter in high school, Mary, joined the writing staff. Our other member is
my husband, Bill, who taught me to love a computer and helped us get
HEARTFELT PRESS going by doing the "legwork" for us. They are all home made which means they can be personalized or changed to fit different needs. They do not have a breakable spine, but rather a strong coil that allows the user to write in them easily like a notebook. Each page that holds a picture has a protective sheet between it and the opposite page so ink does not end up on valuable snapshots. Home .. Plum Tree .. Rainbow .. LunchBox .. Order ..
